Returns/Exchanges/Cancellations

Be sure your email inquiry includes: Name, Telephone number and Order Number or we will NOT be able to find your order information.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item and a copy of the invoice within 15 days and the purchase price will be refunded minus a 15% restocking fee.  Partial returns will be refunded accordingly.  Items must in original packaging or they will not be accepted.

Items returned after 15 days will be limited to exchange for merchandise only, or Store Credit.  Shipping charges cannot be refunded.  Exchanges are subject to return shipping charges.  Returned items must be in resalable condition and in their original packaging, no nicked, scuffed or scratched products will  be accepted for refund and will be returned to you.  

• Customer is responsible for properly packaging and insuring returned items.
• Helmets MUST be in original helmet bags, if not they bounce around during shipment and become damaged.  We will NOT issue credit or refunds for items damaged as a result of being improperly packaged.
• Helmets must be double-boxed for shipping. DO NOT return helmets in the manufacturers box only!  They will not hold up well during shipping and the package will be refused by our returns department.
• Damaged items will not be accepted for exchange or credit.
• Items that have been worn cannot be returned or exchanged.
• Customer is responsible for paying for shipping.
• Returned product quality is determined at our discretion.  No exceptions.

Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.  Exchanges are not subject to restock fee.

Items returned for exchange due to damage will be repaired or replaced at our sole discretion.

Shoei Products

Shoei products may be returned for exchange or store credit only.  Absolutely No refunds. No exceptions.

Order Cancellations

Orders canceled more than 24 hours after being placed are be subject to a 10% cancellation fee.  Orders may only be canceled by telephone.

Return Merchandise Procedure

Easy. Put the product back in the box with a copy of the invoice and a note telling us what you would  like in exchange or for a refund, simply write REFUND on the invoice.  Then send it back to the address on the top of the invoice.

Store Credit

Store credit is valid for 90 days after issue date.  No exceptions.

Defective Merchandise

Products found to be defective after 30 days from purchase must be handled directly between you the customer and the manufacturer.

Helmets Etc ships most order within 1-3 business days following the day the order was placed, please note our business hours below.  Orders received after 12 noon on Friday are not processed until the following Monday at the earliest.  We process all orders in the order that they were received. please allow 3-5 for HJC products to ship.

Standard shipping is via DHL Ground. DHL 2nd Day Air, or DHL Next Day Air are also available.

• DHL 2nd Day Air means: you should receive the item within 2 business days.  DHL does not count the day it ships or Saturday or Sunday.  So if your order ships on a Friday you should receive it the following Tuesday.

• DHL does not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.

• Next Day Air items shipped on a Friday will not be delivered until the following Monday.

• We will choose an appropriate shipper for international orders.  Please allow 5 to 7 days for delivery.

• Air Brush, Red, Pink, anything with fur or custom requests may take up to an additional 5-10 days.

Note:  2nd Day and Next Day shipping costs may be adjusted for large orders or orders containing 2 or more helmets.  This is due to dimensional weight calculation restrictions in the shopping cart.  Helmets Etc will attempt to contact the customer if the shipping charges need to be adjusted.  If we cannot contact the customer in a reasonable amount of time, Helmets Etc reserves the right to ship the order best way possible as costs allow.

Shipping Costs

We use DHL exclusively and DHL charges based on package weight and destination zip code as well as box dimensions for 2nd day and next day services.  Our shopping cart software keeps track of the items and their weights in your shopping cart.  You need to actually go through part of the checkout process to see the shipping charges that will apply to your order.  Don't worry, they are displayed before you are asked for credit card info.  We simply must have your shipping address before we can calculate the shipping charges.  Sure, we could base shipping charges on the value of your order like other sites, but this would result in you being overcharged for shipping.

On-Line Options:         
Our web site currently accepts Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express and Debit Cards carrying the Visa or Master Card Logo for on-line purchases.  Simply add items to your shopping cart and follow the check out process.  The following information is required for your on-line purchase to be approved by your credit card's  issuing bank:

• Your name as it appears on the credit card.
• The billing address of record for the credit card.
• The address and zip must match the data on file with your credit card company.
• The CVV (Card Validation Value) number.
• For Visa & Master Card this is the last 3 digits of the number stamped on the signature panel on the back of the card.  For American Express it's 4 digits located on the front, right above your CC number.  View example here.
• This number is required for purchase approval.
• Orders totaling over $500.00 will require a written and signed authorization form be submitted to our office.  If your order is over $500.00 someone from our office will contact you.  Or you can find the form Credit Card Authorization form found here.

Mail Order/Pre-Payment:
M.H.C will accept a Money Order if you wish to pre-pay (Sorry, no personal checks).  The process is simple.  Just shop on-line as if you planned on using a Credit Card.  When you get to the last page of the check out process (where the site asks for CC information), print that page and mail it along with a Money Order for the Grand Total shown on that page to:

International Shipping Policy

International Orders:
Helmets Etc. ships all over the world.  If you reside outside the US & Canada you may place an order with us on-line in a similar fashion as outlined above in Mail Order/Pre-Payment.  We will calculate the shipping charges and contact you with a total for your approval before shipping the order.   The order must also be accompanied by a completed and signed Credit Card Authorization form found here.

Helmets Etc. provides motorcycle accessories to the biker community.  Among the fine products offered are novelty helmets.  While novelty helmets may seem to afford some protection, be advised that this helmet IS NOT   DOT approved for use on a motorcycle or other motorized vehicle, on or off the road, and is only to be used for novelty or display purposes.  It is not intended to be used as or considered to be safety equipment.

If you get into an accident and suffer an injury while wearing this helmet, or if you get a ticket for wearing a Non-DOT approved helmet, Helmets Etc. assumes no liability whatsoever.

We apologize for any mis-marked items or lost or incomplete orders caused by database, connectivity, programming,  typographical or clerical errors.  Helmet Etc., Inc. reserves the right to correct them at our earliest convenience and further reserve the right to not to sell items at mis-marked prices.

The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: www.helmetsetc.com. We never share this information with any party.  Our site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart. We also use cookies to deliver content specific information to your interests.

Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect visitor's contact information (like their email address). Contact information from the order form is used to send order  confirmation and information about our company to our customers.
